~ What in the world is html? ~ Html is short for hypertext markup language. Basically itīs the same as any language. Letīs say you want to learn swedish, then you need to learn how to say swedish words that tells a person what you want and need. Right? The same goes for websites, you have to learn how to tell the internet with its language, html, what you want and need. The good part is that unlike people, the internet always does exactly what you tell it to. Looking at a html document can be scary before you learn it. It looks like a whole lot of #Ī#%Ī and #!Ī#&&. Donīt be scared, take a deep breath, it is not that hard as it looks. Like I said, letīs get back to learning swedish again. Hej, "hej" means hello, now you learned a swedish word. You would probobly use hej when you meat someone for the first time, this is the first phrase you use with people. Now that was easy, right? Itīs not any harder to learn html. As you would use hej to start a conversation with a person in sweden. You should use < html> to start a conversation with your website. < html> is the same as hello! Now, you wouldnīt leave a person without saying goodbye, right? So in swedish goodbye is "hej då", and for html goodbye is < /html> Get it? Hi and goodbye, < html> and < /html>.
